Base Treatment
Base Treatment
Cement-based bases should be tested for moisture (rising moisture or base moisture content). The base course must have a suitable structural vapor barrier. If the residual humidity is too high, especially in new construction, a moisture-proof membrane may be required. The base must be free of structural defects, that is, have appropriate compressive and flexural strength, be dry, and be free of laitance, dust, or contaminants that would affect adhesion.
Construction method
Step 1
FS810 glue needs to be applied with a suitable spatula. The scraper model should be selected according to the material of the floor material and the type of back layer and base layer.
Step 2
FS810 is filled in two buckets, bucket A and bucket B. Completely pour the materials in bucket B into bucket A, and mix at least one set at a time. Or use it accurately by weighing it in proportion to weight. Using an electric mixer on low speed, combine the two ingredients thoroughly.
Step 3
Start construction at 25°C, the mixed glue must be applied to the treated base layer with a suitable scraper within 20 minutes. Install the floor covering immediately onto the wet adhesive, ensuring complete transfer of the glue. Ensure full contact with the facing material during installation and during curing of the adhesive. Some surface materials may require heavy pressing.
Step 4
The operating time of the FS810 is 30 to 40 minutes. Once cured, the adhesive is no longer tacky. The curing time accelerates as the temperature increases and slows down as the temperature decreases. Use appropriate cleaning tools to clean any remaining adhesive.
Step 5
If the operating temperature is lower than 15°C or the humidity is higher than 85°C, please consult the company’s technical department.
